Smitha, can you provide more context or clarity on the compliance checks you reference? Are we talking about FIPS compliance as used to harden a device, including Certification Compliance, or are we talking about the prerequisite items and features needed to update/enable/configure/etc. that allow a smooth transition to 8.1 from X.x - With those details, it will probably open up several more questions, really specific to licensing, network size, use cases, and the like, but i'm sure there are many others that without specificity i am unable to provide more background on what i'd need further clarifying detail over... plainly put, until i can discern the level of effort needed on the request based on what it is you're truly asking, then i must put the ball in your court sir to provide you my interpretation of a best practices step-by-step guide for the transition to 8.1 from a previous version.
Regards,
Justin
Thanks Justin, to give you more clarity on this, we are not talking on the prerequisites needed to upgrade as we have already upgraded the counteract to v8.1. Here, we need to get more clarity on how can we configure and enable the compliance check in the counteract v8.1.
Also, to add on that we would like to know how can we enforce security compliance with security and patch management policies in counteract v8.1
Per the 8.1 Release Notes:
Certification Compliance
Certification Compliance mode is a hardened configuration mode that enables advanced security features. If your organization needs to comply with strict security requirements, you can configure Forescout 8.1 to run in Certification Compliance mode during the initial Enterprise Manager/Appliance CLI configuration of a clean Forescout 8.1 installation.
I hope that you are able to get that resolved.
Okay Melton, will check this. Thanks for this information.
